  6. But things that he said have stayed with me to a 
  7. surprising degree, and I think what McLuhan has 
  8. really impressed upon me is that the importance of 
  9. looking at a process and how that shapes our 
  10. perception and not try to stick to old ideological 
  11. ideals of left and right, conservatism, socialism, 
  12. etc.
